Lance Gurley

Managing Partner

Lance is the Managing Partner of Alta Arbor, where he is responsible for directing strategy, developing investment opportunities and capital allocation. He founded Alta Arbor following nearly 20 years in investment banking, most recently as a Managing Director with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. He was formerly a Partner and Managing Director at Blackhill Partners prior to its acquisition by Stephens Inc.

He received his BA from the University of Mississippi.

Randy Luck

President

Randy is the President of Alta Arbor, where he leads the day-to-day operations of the company and oversees our portfolio companies. Randy joined Alta Arbor in 2023 after ~10 years at Bain & Company, where he guided corporate and private equity-owned clients on merger integration and post-acquisition strategy.

He received his BBA from Texas A&M University and his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Megan Tervo

Vice President, Controller

Megan is a Vice President at Alta Arbor, where she oversees financial reporting and forecasting across the holding and portfolio companies. Megan joined Alta Arbor in 2024 from the Boston Consulting Group where she primarily served in the CFO Excellence practice. She began her career at PwC in the audit practice.

She received her BSB from the University of Minnesota and her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Trevor Pownell

Vice President

Trevor is a Vice President at Alta Arbor with responsibility for managing the acquisition process for our portfolio companies. He focuses on business development, due diligence, and execution of value creation plans. Trevor joined Alta Arbor after 5 years at Bain & Company, where he focused on private equity diligence and strategic transformation.

He received his BBA from Texas A&M University and his MBA from the Yale School of Management.
